At TSI we’ll help you feel comfortable and confident with a shotgun. We provide all equipment and use a relaxed, step-by-step approach that eases nerves and teaches safe, practical handling.

Designed for serious learners, TSI’s curriculum blends repetition with scenario-based exercises to turn skill into dependable performance when it matters most.
TSI will get you on the field for hands-on firearms training with a certified shotgun instructor who helps you build real shooting skills through challenging live-fire exercises and structured repetition drills. Practicing the right way with professional firearms coaching is the safest and most effective way to develop confidence, accuracy, and control.

You have already taken a basic shotgun class and have mastered the basics. You want to acquire advanced shotgun and real-life skills to confidently protect yourself and your loved ones.

FIRST Steps Shotgun Orientation
This course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper use of a pump operated shotgun.
This course is 3 hours long, and includes classroom and range time.
What You Will Learn
- Rules for safe gun handling
- Rifle parts and operation
- Ammunition
- Shooting fundamentals
- Additional opportunities for skill development
Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
Be sure to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. Other than that, we provide everything for you! Pump action shotgun, target clays, ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection.
For safety reasons, please do not bring any non-enrolled spectators. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and no low-cut tops. No drugs or alcohol allowed.
NRA certified Basic Shotgun
This is a comprehensive introductory course, designed for the new shotgun owner, or for anyone interested in practicing the fundamentals of shotgun marksmanship, or as a starting point for those seeking to become NRA Certified Instructors. This is an engaging, hands-on class.
This course is 8 hours long, and includes classroom and range time.

- Marksmanship and shooting range safety
If you don’t own a shotgun, we can provide the essential equipment for you – all shotguns, clay targets, ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection.
If you have a personal shotgun you want to use, bring it UNLOADED and in a case. You must provide your own ammunition for your personal firearm (75 rounds, 7.5/8/9 shot only, no buckshot, no slugs, no steel shot and no bismuth).
For safety reasons, please do not bring any non-enrolled spectators. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and no low cut tops. Be sure to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. Pack a light lunch or snacks. Water will be provided. No drugs or alcohol allowed.

Improving on the Basics - Shotgun
This course is 2 hours long, and includes on the field instruction and range time.

This course is designed for the new shotgun owner or for anyone interested in practicing their shotgun fundamentals with a focus on moving targets. This is an engaging, low-stress, hands-on class.
If you don’t own a shotgun, we can provide the essential equipment for you – all shotguns, clay targets, ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection.
If you have a personal shotgun you want to use, bring it UNLOADED and in a case. You must provide your own ammunition for your personal firearm (75 rounds, 7.5/8/9 shot only, no buckshot, no slugs, no steel shot and no bismuth).
Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and no low cut tops. Be sure to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. Water will be provided. No drugs or alcohol allowed.

Private Instruction
If you need individual attention to build or improve your shotgun skills, we are available to help. Each private session is 2 hours and takes place at an outdoor range.
Bring your personal shotgun UNLOADED and in a case. You must provide your own ammunition for your personal firearm (75 rounds, 7.5/8/9 shot only, no buckshot, no slugs, no steel shot and no bismuth) and you will have to cover the cost of the targets, ammo, clays/targets and any field use fees.
